wish list

On my wish list is this Elsa Peretti Letter "L" pendant from Tiffany & Co.  "L" of course for my baby Lucas.  What a treasure to have and to pass on to his wife {for when he gets married someday}.

This special piece was given to Lucas from his grandparents who live in Louisiana.  My in-laws take regular weekend trips to the French Quarter and first saw the paintings of Alex Beard in the local sucre shop.  They stumbled upon his studio while strolling the streets of the Quarters and couldn't resist in purchasing this piece for Lucas.  The artist, Alex Beard, customized the painting by adding S.S. Denson to the steamboat and painting on the matte.  The matte also includes our names, and the frame is amazingly beautiful as well.  This is a piece that lil' Lucas Kane can have forever and ever.  It is breathtaking!

Lucas' Nursery

I'm finally getting around to showcase Lucas' nursery and I'm beyond thrilled on how it turned out.  One of my main focuses was for the room to not scream "baby."  I still need to fill a light tan moroccan leather pouf with stuffing and am thinking of adding a little hanging mobile above his changing table.  {nothing too busy though}.  Other than that, all is set in its place and it will become a room he can grow into.

Today is my birthday!  The most special birthday present I received came a bit early this year.  He was born on May 29th and his name is Lucas Kane.

1st time at the pool

We opted to wait to take Lucas out anywhere until he received his first set of shots.  During his two month doctor visit, he finally received those shots, which meant that we were ready to take him out exploring.  It was also perfect timing since we had many visitors during that time.  My good girlfriends that I have been friends with since college came to Hawaii to meet the newest addition to our clan... Lucas.  It was a special time because they were a part of Lucas' first moments, such as these...
