{salted almond ice cream}

I am obsessed with ice cream {my all time pregnancy weakness}.  I featured this post back in April, which was all about this creamy and cold dessert.  I was roaming around apartment therapy's - the kitchn, and was ecstatic when they had a post featuring 15 homemade ice cream recipes.  Here are three that I would love to try out and make with my ice cream maker.

our view

Just wanted to share the view from our house ~ via instagram taken from the master bedroom window.  We get to look at the ocean and mountains every day.  Here's a peek.  {There's construction going on below us, so just block that out}.

doggy time

from birth to 12 years

One of the coolest videos I have ever seen.  Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter every week from birth until 12 years old.  How amazing to have a video of yourself and to be able to reflect on how much you've grown.  Quite amazing and such a memorable piece to have forever.

So adorable.  Who wouldn't love to eat some ice cream with one of these checkered tea spoons?  These lovely finds are from Anthropologie and a set of 4 retails for $24.

on my mind

A few things have been on my mind lately ~ it's mostly all about Baby Lucas.  Today I am officially 39 weeks pregnant.  The waiting game has begun, and we are ready for Baby Lucas' arrival.  I can't believe that he will almost be here.  It just seems like yesterday that I found out I was even pregnant.  I am fortunate to say that I have had quite an easy pregnancy, I hope labor and delivery will be the same.

a guest bedroom redo

My good friend Shelly from back home in Southern California has been renovating her guest bedroom.  I asked her to send me a before, in progress, and after picture of the room.  The best part is, is that her and her husband have transformed the room on their own - total DIY.  The only professional help they received, was when the hardwood floors needed to be buffed out.

simply baby

reconnected

No, I was not in labor and lil baby Lucas is still in my tummy.

Moved into our new place on May 4th, but the Internet was not set up in the house until last Thursday.  Having no internet makes you feel disconnected.  But I'm back and my regular posts will be up and running.

Speaking of disconnection and reconnection and the Internet... thought this vintage image of telephones shows how far we've come and how much we depend on a computer.

I wish I saw this photo sooner... so I could have stolen, I mean used, this idea for my wedding day.  I came across this idea on 100 Layer Cake and just loved the creativity.  Use the local newspaper (even more memorable if your having a destination wedding) and showcase your rings.
