Now that we are back living in Hawaii, you can have the bronzed look all year round.  I've recently purchased two items that add to my sun kissed look when applying my daily makeup.  Two products I adore are 1. Smashbox Bronze Lights in Sunkissed Matte -and- 2. NARS Illuminator in Orgasm.

Now that we are {almost} settled in Hawaii, I wanted to share some more pics from our trip to both Louisiana and Southern California.  I was so lucky to have a wonderful baby shower in both states, as well as capturing some ever lasting memories, and most importantly visiting family and friends who we love so much.  Now with Baby Lucas Kane on the way, we know that our next trips out won't be anytime soon...

I've been on the hunt for an ice bucket, which I would love to have as an addition to my vintage bar cart.  I discovered the site mr. ice bucket, which has bunches of you guessed it... ice buckets.  I'm deciding between these three styles, now... which one will I choose??

In about two weeks {on may fourth}, we'll be able to move into the house we'll be living in while in Hawaii.  I can't wait.  The house is built up on a hill, so we will have a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains.

Ice cream and I have been best friends during my pregnancy.  It's the one item that I will never pass up.  It's the one item that I crave to have.  It's just so delicious, cold, creamy and tastes oh so good.  Baby Lucas loves it.  So because I'm lovin' ice cream, I thought that it'd be fun to showcase some ice cream finds that involve this delicious treat.

Deal of the DAY

I just ordered this tufted cocktail ottoman in black for our new home in Hawaii.  We are still searching/waiting for a place to live, so I can patiently wait for its arrival.  Some reasons on why I love it so much:  Baby Lucas won't bump his head or face on it, it is gorgeous, but still functional and trendy.  Here are some inspirational photos on why I leaned toward this design.

I'm thinking of making Baby Lucas Kane's mobile for his nursery.  I came across a few ideas and inspiration, which I have pinned on my Pinterest boards.  I just love the idea of having something that I made for him to be a part of his room.  I just hope that the mobile I create, will look just as good as these.  I'll keep you updated.

Since baby Lucas Kane's due date is only 6 weeks away, it's time to start thinking about the hospital bag.  I came across the blog "E tells tales" in which she lists the do's and don't's of what to pack.  I also found a check list on thebump.com.  I'd love to hear any other recommendations or any advice on what you brought or wish you'd brought to the hospital. 

a.m. routine

I truly believe that a good skin care regime is needed daily ~ a.m. and p.m.  Using products with SPF, as well as adding an additional, is part of my daily regime.  I recently purchased Estee Lauder's Idealist, which I apply on my face before moisturizer.  I then use Lancome's Bienfait Multi-Vital Moisturizer and Eye Cream.  Lastly, I apply Clinique's SPF 50 Face Cream.  Ladies: wrinkles, brown spots and age spots are not our friends, so obtain a good skin care regime to keep them away.

I'm really lovin' the ombre hair trend.  My hair is dark, so these looks below seem to be just perfect.  I can't wait to try out the look ~ I just need to grow out my hair to be a little longer.  All of these pics are on my pinterest board.

on my mind ~ off to HAWAII

The time has finally come ~ it is the day we are moving back to Oahu, Hawaii.  It's been such a great time spending time with our families and friends in both Louisiana and Southern California.  We have so much to look forward to: the birth of our baby Lucas Kane, family and friends visiting us in May through September, turquoise waters, soothing trade winds, and the Hawaiian sunshine. 
It is so exciting to be calling Hawaii home again.  Here are some pictures of when we last lived there.

diy ~ feather drink stirrers

Have a cocktail party coming up??  Why not DIY some feather drink stirrers??  Follow the tutorial from the blog 100 Layer Cake.  Since there are so many different kinds of feathers in the craft store, one can make these drink stirrers in an array of colors.  Too Cute!

a baby shower

My three best friends threw the most beautiful and thoughtful baby shower this past Saturday for baby Lucas.  It was just gorgeous and perfect.  They took so much time and effort into making the day special for me, Lucas, family, and friends.  I couldn't thank them enough for such a memorable day.  Love you girls!
